Golf Coarse and Williamsfield depot.
BNSF 9724West passes through Stronghurst Ill. with an empty coal train (EWFIEBM25) headed for the Powder River Basin and BNSF 693 rounds the curve, past the golf coarse with SCHIKCK24 in tow. Its not all mainline action on the Chilli Sub. Here is a shot of BRC switching duties during an operating session. Faded 5601 at Knox and 7659 at Nerska Tower
The photos below were taken by Kevin Bertrand on a recent train watching trip to Chilli territory during the summer of 2006. Occasionally, a UP unit makes it onto the Chilli as UP 5460 heads an eastbound through McCook. BNSF7755 West knocks down the intermediate signal just outside of Corwith. BNSF 7744, on it's maiden run, racing towards Corwith Yard. On a different day two ES44s meet under the signal bridge at GI Interlocking plant. BNSF 7744 is heading west with an empty coal train for the Powder River Basin and UP 5460 has a hot intermodal train in tow. |
